Sometimes, doing things manually is the key to ensuring the perfect finish. While most of our machines are CNC, and some feature full automation, occasionally we need to go back to basics. A flypress is a machine tool used to shape sheet metal by deforming it or cutting it with punches and dies.
This solid F J Edwards flypress is used to support assembly operations on our shop floor.
Our assembly team are multi-skilled and experts in a range of disciplines, from bonding to customer-specific requirements, to press fitting of bushes, bearings and related applications. The team are also fully versed in heat staking of threaded inserts into polymer-type materials.
